One thing that really makes Ravelli stoves cool is their luxurious and sleek design. These stoves are unique in themselves.

Ravelli has added some cool design and textures to their stove that gives them a modern look. Not only that, but their performance is also outstanding and prices are affordable.

Before we look into any cool models, let me walk you through some important considerations when choosing pellet stoves.

Insert vs. Freestanding
Insert: These are pellet stove models that are installed inside your existing fireplace. They are small in size with less hopper capacity and require frequent refilling. Moreover, installing them is very complicated
Freestanding: These units don’t require any fireplace installation. They usually sit away from the wall and you can install them virtually anywhere, as long as there is proper ventilation. A benefit of owning freestanding models is their large capacity hopper and more heat.

Heat Output
Pellet stoves come in different sizes and offer different BTU ratings. Most models have a BTU rating between 8,000 and 80,000. However, the unit you should choose depends on the size of the home you live in. Ideally, to heat up a 100 square foot area, 3,000 BTUs are required.

Features to Look For
Top-fed vs. bottom-fed: Pellet stoves come in different built qualities. The top-fed units take the pellets from the top of the stove and are usually considered more efficient. Moreover, they reduce the risk of igniting, either, though their burn pot is more likely to get clogged with ashes. A bottom-fed may not be as much efficient as top-fed models, but their burn pot rarely gets clogged with ashes

Electric Functions

Most of the pellet stoves have electric components that are capable of powering up to two different motorized components. In most of the cases, the auger of the stove helps to drive pellets into the burn pot for ignition and burning purpose. You can adjust the heat setting to stop auger from pushing the pellets into the burn pot. Similarly, there is a blower fan that helps to evenly distribute the heat into the room for efficient heating.
Safety Features: Never compromise safety features when buying a wood pellet stove. Although pellet stoves are extremely safe to operate, you should still do your due diligence to investigate their safety features. Here are some safety features every pellet stove must offer:

Backup battery

This helps to keep the stove’s motorized component going even if your home loses power. This battery charges whenever you plugin in the stove, but only runs when required
Automatic shutoff: This helps to shut off the stove whenever necessary. For example, if a kid opens the stove’s door or its burn pot get too hot

Thermostat

It allows you to choose a particular temperature for the stove to reach before it stops pushing the pellets in the burn pot

Automatic Ignition

Helps to save you from manually lighting the pellets with a match or a lighter, and also saves your time

Price

Pellet stoves are usually priced above $1,000 and some high-end models can go as much as $4,000. Depending on the heat output you choose, you can expect to pay more or less.

Warranty
Always make sure that the model you are choosing comes with a solid manufacturer’s warranty. While most models have a 5-year warranty, but make sure that it has at least a year’s warranty attached to it for any kind of defects.
